Hydroponic Innovation:
Testing Our New Germination Setup with Arugula
At Plant Share for All, we’re committed to sustainable, soil-free growing—and we’re thrilled to introduce our newest hydroponic germination design, now being tested with arugula!
This compact system was developed with simplicity, accessibility, and sustainability in mind. Except for the clay pellets used for root support, every component is made from recycled materials, including plastic water bottles and aluminum pie plates. It's an affordable, no-soil solution for growing fresh food indoors.
Designed specifically for hydroponic use, this system provides a controlled environment that supports consistent plant growth, free from the unpredictability of outdoor elements like wind and rain. It's ideal for small-space, year-round growing—no backyard or garden required.
We chose arugula for this test run because of its fast growth and nutritional value. As the plants progress, we'll be closely observing the system’s performance to refine and improve it further.
Our goal is to empower more people to grow their own fresh, healthy food using hydroponic methods that are low-cost, space-efficient, and environmentally friendly. Stay tuned as we follow the journey of our arugula and share tips for building your own DIY hydroponic setup!
