Lavender Life Indoors: Hydroponic Sprouts in Oshawa!
Thrilling progress in our indoor garden here in Oshawa! Just two weeks after introducing True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) seeds to their hydroponic setup on April 11th, we're seeing vibrant signs of life. Tiny radicles are reaching into the nutrient solution, and delicate cotyledons are unfurling under the grow lights.
It's fascinating to witness these initial stages in a soilless environment. These tiny seeds, brimming with potential, are eagerly taking their first steps towards becoming fragrant indoor lavender plants.
This marks the start of our hydroponic lavender adventure, and we're excited to guide them from these small beginnings to hopefully enjoying their beautiful blooms and exploring the possibility of seed saving indoors.
Stay tuned for more updates from our indoor lavender experiment in Oshawa!

Smaller is better. I've started my micro greens today.
I found a 15l water bottle and a few small water bottles, so Im off to a good start.
This is exciting and Im looking for the materials so I can help.
I have been watching the blue boxes for the larger bottles and pie plates. Just after major holidays, you can find a lot of pie plates being tossed in the recycling. I have a few apartment buildings with their large blue bins that I stop at in my area looking for the materials needed.
