As dandelions begin to bloom, it’s essential to monitor them closely if you plan to harvest the flower heads. These vibrant flowers are not only delightful but also great for making tea rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Including the stems in your harvest enhances the nutritional value, adding vitamins and minerals like calcium and potassium.
For our seed production, we leave one flower to bloom fully while harvesting the rest for tea. As you can see in the accompanying images, multiple flower heads are forming, so we need to be ready for harvesting.
Stay tuned for more updates as we document the growth of this single plant and the abundance of flowers and stems it produces!
