You can see that the Basil (left) has started to germinate but no sign of the Chicory germinating. In the 2 middle images, you can see the containers being used with this test. Much of what will be done is starting in these containers and then moving the top part to new containers with a deeper water basin that will hold the nutrient solutions. Some of the plants will be removed from the pebbles and then planted in containers with 1-4 plants.
Once we are happy with the design of the containers, we will post how to make them and find them for free so you can make your own.
