Common Mallow Hydroponic Update – May 4, 2025
We’re excited to share that our Common Mallow seeds successfully germinated that were planted on April 24! Since then, we've been transitioning our setup to a new layout using round containers. Each round container now holds three smaller pots, each housing its own group of plants.
Soon, these three newly organized containers will be moved into their dedicated spot in our kitchen as part of our indoor growing system.
Our goal is to nurture these plants through their full life cycle—from sprouting to flowering. Common Mallow flowers are edible, and we look forward to enjoying their beauty and taste. Importantly, one of the three containers will be dedicated exclusively to seed production, supporting future plantings and our ongoing indoor gardening experiments.
This marks the official start of our indoor hydroponic journey with Common Mallow here in Oshawa. We’re excited to share this experience and track the growth, blooms, and eventual seed-saving potential of these remarkable plants.
Stay tuned for more updates as our Common Mallow adventure continues!
