I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!

🦋 Daily Dose of Beauty at the Oshawa Creek Trail
Today’s two images are about differences—and what we can notice when we take the time to look.
The same butterfly, on the same flowers, photographed from almost the same angle. Yet one small change creates two very different images.
🦋 With its wings open, the butterfly is bold and striking, revealing colours and patterns that were hidden moments before.
🦋 With its wings closed, the colours appear more muted and subdued. The flowers also become a bigger part of what we see—the yellow and white standing out in a completely different way.
Neither view tells the whole story on its own.
That is part of the joy I find when I am outside with my camera. I can pause, watch, take an image, wait, and sometimes discover something completely different without going anywhere at all.
Look even closer and there is another detail: the butterfly’s proboscis. It is feeding from the flowers, taking in the nourishment it needs while I am taking the photographs.
🌱 I think our health and wellness can be similar.
Sometimes a small change in how we look at something reveals possibilities we did not notice before. The plants I grow are a simple example. The same plant might become a tea, a seasoning, or another way of adding plant foods and their nutrients and compounds to our lives, depending on the plant and how it is prepared.
The plant did not change. What changed was how we used it.
Sometimes the possibilities are already there. We simply need to pause long enough to notice them.
