🦋 Daily Dose Of Beauty at Parkwood Estate National Historic Site.

Sometimes, the simplest moments reveal the most beautiful details.

Today's image captures a monarch butterfly sipping nectar from a soft pink flower. Look closely at the white spots surrounded by black on its wings, and you might notice a hint of blue.

    💙 Why the blue?

Sunlight contains many colours. When light strikes the tiny scales on a butterfly's wings, different wavelengths can be reflected or scattered. Lighting conditions and how my camera captures the image can also influence the colours we see.

It is different from the process that makes our sky appear blue, but both remind us how light influences what we see.

    🌱 Health and wellness reflection.

Since my stroke and open-heart surgery, I have had to rebuild so much of my life, including learning to walk again. Today, those walks have become something I truly appreciate.

When I head out with my camera, I am not just exercising. I am taking time for myself, clearing my mind, and enjoying the beauty around me.

What I love is that even after taking thousands of photographs, I am still discovering something new. This little hint of blue made me curious enough to learn more about how light works.

❤️ For me, that is part of rebuilding my health and wellness. Keeping my body moving, my mind curious, and finding reasons to smile and appreciate another day.

I cannot change what happened to my health, but I can continue choosing how I move forward.

Sometimes, something as simple as a butterfly on a flower reminds me just how far I have come and how much there is still to discover.

    Love Is For Everyone. 💙

  • I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!
