I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!

🍂 Daily Dose Of Beauty – Oshawa Creek Trail
With two images posted each day, sometimes I find that both photographs are needed to share not just the beauty of what I see, but the thoughts and reflections that come with those moments.
As I look at these two images, I find myself thinking about perspective. In one, the creek is in focus, while the brilliant red tree becomes part of the background. In the other, perhaps it is the tree, with its beautiful red leaves slowly reaching the end of their seasonal cycle, that captures my attention, while the creek fades from focus.
Which one is more important? Which one holds the greater beauty?
For me, both do, just in different ways.
Over the years, and especially through my recovery from a major stroke and open-heart surgery, I have learned how quickly life can change what we focus on.
Things I once considered important became less meaningful, while things I may have taken for granted became some of the most important parts of my daily life.
I have faced many challenges, and I still do. Some days, those challenges can take up much of my attention. But I have also learned that when I take time to enjoy nature, observe the little things, and reflect on my experiences, I often begin to see things differently.
Sometimes I discover a new idea, a possible solution, or simply a reason to appreciate what I have rather than focusing entirely on what I am struggling with.
My circumstances may not have changed, but my perspective has.
That is one of the reasons I continue taking photographs and sharing these Daily Dose Of Beauty moments. It is not simply about capturing beautiful images of Oshawa. It is about sharing what these moments teach me about life, health, wellness, and the importance of looking beyond what first catches our attention.
Just as the creek and the red tree each bring their own beauty to these photographs, our lives contain many things deserving of our attention.
🍁I cannot always control the challenges life brings, but I can work on where I place my attention and how I respond. Sometimes changing my focus helps me find a little more clarity, peace, and determination to keep moving forward.
I have learned that beauty does not disappear simply because something else has taken our focus. Sometimes we just need to look again.
