🌿 My Lip Balm Today — Final Public Update

This post marks the last public update for My Lip Balm Today.

I’ve completed my first full batch of lip balm, made from plants I grew myself and infused with Mullein, Dandelion, and Peppermint—grown, harvested, dried, infused, and turned into a real health and wellness product, right here in my apartment.

This first batch produced 51 lip balm tubes, plus a small tester kept aside for evaluation and refinement.

🧪 What Comes Next

My next steps are focused on real-world feedback. I’ll be sharing this lip balm with a small number of individuals willing to test it and provide honest input.

This formulation was intentionally designed as a winter lip balm, created for those who spend significant time outdoors in colder conditions. A summer version will follow, using different plant selections and ratios suited to warmer weather.

💛 Purpose Over Profit

I’ll be working on names for this lip balm and preparing for limited sales. Any sales will support our broader community programs, with a clear goal of creating a buy one, donate one model so those most in need are never excluded.

🌱 Why This Matters

Purchasing herbs for a batch like this would push costs into the hundreds of dollars. By growing the plants myself, the cost drops to under $50 for 50 tubes—a real, accessible example of what’s possible when we invest in knowledge, not dependency.

I’ll also be hosting hands-on events to teach others how to make lip balm using plants they grow themselves.

  • Coconut oil

  • Lip balm tubes

I am actively seeking Ontario-made jars or paper lip balm tubes. Supporting local—even when it costs a little more—keeps resources in our communities.
