I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!

Daily Dose Of Beauty at Waterfront Trail
Two images each day.
I could share dozens of photos at once, but there is a purpose behind sharing just a couple at a time.
For me, the Daily Dose Of Beauty has become part of a daily health and wellness mindset. Taking a moment to look at something beautiful, pause, and focus on something positive can give our minds a brief break from everything else competing for our attention.
Rather than a feast-or-famine approach—sharing everything today and then nothing for days or weeks—I choose consistency. Two images. A pause. A few thoughts. Then I move on with my day.
There is something familiar about that rhythm when we look at nature, too. A butterfly lands, feeds or rests for a moment, and then continues on.
These photographs have become part of my own morning routine. I get to begin my day looking through the beauty I have discovered around Oshawa, choosing a couple of images and thinking about what I noticed when I took them. Creating the post helps me start my day focused on something positive, and sharing it gives someone else the opportunity to pause as well.
You don't need to think about any of that to enjoy the Daily Dose Of Beauty. Maybe you simply see a butterfly and think, that's a beautiful picture. That's enough.
With more than 1,000 images shared through Pics In Oshawa, there is also a community purpose behind this project. The photographs are shared freely for personal use, and when possible I include where and when they were taken. Maybe an image helps someone discover another beautiful part of our community for themselves.
I still have many more butterfly photographs waiting to be shared, along with other wildlife, nature and landscape images. You will certainly continue to see my passion for Monarch butterflies—and butterflies in general. Their colours, details and transformations continue to fascinate me.
These are small daily actions, but small actions repeated consistently can become meaningful habits.
For me, this is one of them.
Two images.
One daily pause.
Another opportunity to notice the beauty around us.
And perhaps another small ripple of positivity, love and compassion travelling from my community of Oshawa and beyond.
The beauty is already here. Sometimes we just need to pause long enough to notice it.
