  • Daily Dose of Beauty at the Waterfront Trail.

    The magnificent Monarch. 🦋

Sadly, this one has a damaged wing, but there is still beauty in its journey. Despite the damage, it continues to move, continues to seek nourishment, and continues doing what it can.

There is a simple lesson in that.

We all experience damage in different ways. We face struggles, setbacks, injuries, loss, and times when moving forward is more difficult than it once was. We may not always have control over what happens to us, but we can make choices about what we do next.

This Monarch isn't giving up because its wing isn't perfect. It is still visiting flowers and seeking the nourishment it needs to continue its journey.

Our health and wellness can be similar. Sometimes our bodies need rest. Sometimes they need better nutrition, movement, recovery, or simply more time. Sometimes we need to learn what our bodies need now, because those needs can change throughout our lives.

There isn't always a simple answer to healing, and trying doesn't guarantee that everything can be repaired. But trying gives us the opportunity to discover what may still be possible.

This little Monarch, with its damaged wing, is still on its journey and doing the best it can with what it has.

    So am I.

I choose to try. If something doesn't work, I can learn from it and try again.

Damaged does not mean there is no beauty left. A difficult journey does not mean the journey is over. 🦋

Sometimes today's choice is simply to keep going, seek what nourishes you, and see where the journey takes you.

Daily Dose of Beauty — because sometimes nature gives us more than something beautiful to look at. It gives us something to think about.

  • I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!
