I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!

Daily Dose of Beauty at the Waterfront Trail
With my Daily Dose of Beauty, I have been sharing two images each day. Today’s other image is the match to this one.
Sometimes you see one thing clearly in focus, then make a small adjustment and discover another view. Same place. Same moment. Mere seconds apart. Yet each image has its own beauty.
You only discover both when you pause and take the time to look.
This time of year also brings a bittersweet feeling. Another Monarch season is beginning to come to an end here in Oshawa. As migration continues, we will gradually see fewer Monarchs around us. But the beauty of the season does not disappear with them.
I have captured a large collection of photographs from across Oshawa this year—Monarchs, other butterflies, plants, landscapes, and countless little moments that caught my attention. Rather than sharing everything in one burst and then having nothing for a while, I prefer sharing a couple of images at a time.
It gives us an opportunity to savour the beauty a little at a time.
What you don't see are all the missed photographs that came before the ones I share. Photography requires patience. I may focus on one butterfly, capture the image, pause, adjust my focus and then notice another butterfly right beside it. The second image may be similar, yet completely different.
That reminds me of health and wellness.
Our needs are not always exactly the same from one day or season of life to another. Some foods and nutrients can be regular parts of a balanced diet, while variety helps provide the range of nutrients our bodies require. Sometimes it is worth pausing, paying attention and adjusting our choices rather than remaining focused on only one thing.
Pause. Focus. Observe. Adjust. Refocus.
Two butterflies. Two photographs. Two slightly different points of focus.
Neither view takes away from the other. Changing the focus simply allows us to appreciate beauty from another perspective.
I encourage you to look for the matching image today. See how a small change in focus can reveal something different, while the beauty remains.
Sometimes we don't need everything all at once.
Sometimes it is better to slow down, take our time, and savour a little beauty each day.
More love and compassion for all.
