I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!

🦋🌸 Daily Dose of Beauty at Parkwood Estate National Historic Site
This little beauty is one of the more active butterflies I encounter. It rarely seems to stop for more than a few seconds before quickly moving on.
Sometimes getting a photo simply means being in the right place at the right moment. By the time you notice one and try to move closer, it may already be gone. Being close is only the beginning — knowing my camera and being able to react quickly gives me a better chance, but even then, I do not always get the photo.
📷 And that is okay.
I spend a lot of time simply watching — not only butterflies, but bees, birds, and everything else nature offers. Over the years, I have started recognizing certain patterns. Sometimes I will move toward an area and wait because I have learned that a butterfly may return. Others seem to circle through the same spaces, giving me another opportunity if I am patient.
🌿 Observation, patience, and being present can make a difference.
Photography has taught me that I do not always have to chase what catches my attention. Sometimes the better choice is to slow down, watch, learn, and allow the opportunity to come to me.
There is also a health and wellness reason behind why I continue sharing these moments. Research has associated exposure to nature — including viewing natural scenes — with benefits such as reduced stress and improvements in mood and well-being. A photograph cannot replace actually spending time outdoors, but even small opportunities to pause and appreciate nature can be meaningful.

A butterfly resting for only a few seconds may seem like a very small moment, but noticing it can create a pause in someone's day. Sharing that moment allows its beauty to travel beyond the place where I experienced it.
For me, seeing beauty, appreciating it, and sharing it with others is a simple act of love for all. 🦋🌸❤️
