The Wellness Profiles project began as a way to better understand the vitamins, minerals, plants, and natural compounds found in foods, herbs, and medicinal plants. The goal is to create an easy-to-understand resource that helps people learn more about health and wellness while also discovering plants that can be found in Ontario, Canada or grown in small spaces.

Depending on the plant, it can provide food, flavour, nutrients, aromatic compounds, fibres, oils, pigments, seeds, flowers, leaves, roots, and many other useful materials.

A harvest might become a nourishing meal.

It might become a tea, dried herb, seasoning, infused oil, balm, salve, massage product, skin-care preparation, botanical craft—or something preserved for use months after the growing season has ended.
