  Hi just need to fix something, I have fought for 45 years in addiction and only in the last 2.5 years have I been clean and 23 years without a drink. Im 52 years old and started in AA at age 18 years old already addicted to coke and alcohol plus what ever else I could get and over those long years I tried many long term treatments and detoxes but it took Recovery College and their support system for me to finally get it. Now I am learning from John and others to be a good man. I only want to help others now that I am well enough to support others. John's vision for long-term communities to come together is inspiring and I am in his debt for his kind words. Thank you and sorry for the misunderstanding.

  Congratulations on 45 years Peter !!! That is huge!!!! We are proud of you! We believe everyone needs a stable support system to lean on, chat to etc. this is why we are here!

  I am a recovering addict of 45 years and I try to help others see that they have what it takes to be well and keep well by connections and that of a good support system. It was a Peer that helped be connect my hopes and goals to purpose and that gave me the meaning that motivates me today to show that I am proof of recovery. From addiction to today is my resilience story. I understand how Peer support connections can help that one person from a life of loneliness to one of meaning and purpose. The world is much better place with you in it. So thank you for being awesome.
