🌟 Happy Sandwiched Day! April 17🌟

With the mall closed for Easter on Friday and Monday, we're having a "sandwiched" workday today. It's a special day because John and his amazing team of volunteers are busy in their donated time slot at the commercial kitchen, crafting their famous turkey sandwiches! πŸ₯ͺ These delights are always a hit at the office.

If you've signed up for pick-up at the office, the sandwiches will be ready around 1 PM or just after. Please be patient. Thank you for your understanding!

If you wish to help or donate supplies for the sandwiches , please contact John directly .

A huge thank you to John E Walker and his "Not Just a Food Program" team for their hard work and dedication. We truly appreciate everything you do! 😊

  • Hello, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you for the sandwiches today. It's much appreciated and I am very grateful to get them delivered.
  • I want to take a moment to thank you for all your hard work and the time you dedicate to volunteering. I understand that it takes a committed team to make everything happen behind the scenes, and many people don’t appreciate that effort. Thank you for the sandwiches and to the drivers who volunteer their cars and time so that I can enjoy a nice lunch twice a week. My brother and I truly appreciate the excellent choices we receive.

I also want to express my gratitude to the volunteers who take the time to message me, check in, and ask how I am doing. It's rare for someone to think about me, so it means a lot to have someone who cares enough to call and ask about my well-being.

I am especially thankful to the person who has created this amazing network, allowing me to be a volunteer rather than just a client or another number. I have spoken with John, who has taken the time to get to know me and understand what I am all about. I genuinely believe that together, he and I can accomplish great things in our community.

The Food Share program and hydroponics setups in businesses are initiatives that I am passionate about, as they would enable me to meet new people who share my love for hope and community support. Lastly, I want to thank Mary for her dedication to peer support and her contributions to the community. I have only met her a few times, but I remember her warm greetings and constant smile that create such a welcoming atmosphere.
