For our in-person efforts, it often starts with something very simple.

😊 A smile.
❤️ A few kind words.
💬 A conversation.
🤗 A free hug or 👊 fist bump for those who want one.

Then comes something just as simple—a basic peanut butter and jam sandwich.

Nothing fancy. Just a sandwich offered with kindness, dignity and respect.

But not every connection starts face-to-face.

Our online efforts can start differently. Sometimes it begins with someone reaching out because they need a little help. That first connection might lead to something as basic as a bottle of water or a sandwich being delivered to someone who cannot easily get to us.

The starting point may be different, but the purpose remains the same: start small, treat people with respect, and provide what we reasonably can.

From there, we continue providing more and more options for those who want them and who show respect in return for the efforts being made.
