Love Rippling:

A Personal Journey to Raise Awareness and Create Change

Each week, I dedicate one hour to my "Love Rippling" events—weekly protests aimed at addressing the lack of love and compassion in our Oshawa community. What better way to inspire change than by offering free hugs, sharing positive messages, and spreading hope?

With the colder weather upon us, I’ve started bringing essential items like gloves, toques, and other necessities to share with fellow protesters. These simple, life-changing items ensure that everyone who wants to join our cause can do so comfortably. By freely handing out these essentials, I hope to create equal opportunities for participation and show that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

The impact of these protests is growing. Each week, more people stop by for a free hug or to hear a positive message, embracing the idea that Love Is For Everyone. The ripple effects are real—smiles, returned hugs, and heartfelt positivity spread through the community, creating waves of change.

Even on social media, the message is resonating. Every shared post extends these ripples further, inspiring others to take action and share love and compassion.

This past Sunday was particularly impactful. I signed up several individuals for a new free lunch program designed to support those who struggle daily. It’s heartbreaking to know that many in Oshawa are limited to just one meal a day—or none at all. The program focuses on helping those who often fall through the cracks, including individuals with mobility challenges who can’t access traditional support services that require in-person visits.

For many, the icy streets and freezing weather make even short trips impossible. By creating options for these individuals, we’re showing that love and compassion can address real issues with practical solutions. Awareness is key, and I hope that by taking action, we can inspire others to join this effort.

Over the years, I’ve been on a journey to understand the true meaning of love and its transformative power. Love is not static—it evolves as we learn and grow. Each act of kindness, compassion, and understanding creates ripples that expand into waves of positivity, impacting not just individuals but entire communities.
