And when people are struggling, everyone needs to be reminded that they are loved.

As part of this campaign, we are launching a new Free Coffee / Tea Open Chat for the Oshawa community.

These informal, welcoming conversations will focus on real health and wellness options—shared honestly, without judgment, and based on lived experience.

We will talk about:

• The truth about recovery and maintaining health on limited income

• Affordable and practical wellness options

• Why health and wellness should not be a privilege

• How independence and self-sufficiency are possible, even when systems make it hard to find alternatives

The reality is that many systems are designed around dependency, not empowerment. Yet real options do exist—they are simply not made easy to access. These chats are about sharing that knowledge openly.

The Not Just A Food Program has been providing free meals in Oshawa for over a year. As we grow, we are expanding beyond food to include education, awareness, and practical support—and that requires greater community awareness.

The You Are Loved campaign helps us do that in a meaningful way:
