I truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and I enjoy your eye for capturing beautiful images. You don’t have to post every week; posting every second week or even monthly would be perfectly fine. With so many options to choose from, it takes time to fully appreciate each picture. There are 21 choices to go through, and I can select the images I want to save. The words "love," "compassion," and "community" resonate deeply with me, as they convey a sense of connection and empathy. I really enjoy this aspect of the network. Thanks for being awesome!

🦋 Five Years Later: Finding Beauty Again
Some butterflies are known for their resilience, and this beautiful Red Admiral resting on a vibrant purple coneflower (Echinacea) is a reminder that healing often comes one small step at a time.
The rich purples and pinks of the flower represent hope, renewal, and inner strength. The bright blue and red markings of the butterfly stand out as a reminder that even after life's greatest struggles, beauty can return in unexpected ways.
Looking back at this photograph I took a few weeks ago, today, July 25, marks the five-year anniversary of my stroke.
Five years ago, I left the hospital needing a walker, oxygen, and struggling to communicate. The first time I picked up a camera after my stroke, I couldn't even remember how to use it.
Today, I can comfortably walk 5 kilometres a day. My communication has improved greatly, and once again I find joy in exploring nature with my camera.
This anniversary isn't about what I lost. It's about what I have regained.
Every challenge became another step forward. Every struggle taught patience. Every small victory helped me rediscover the simple beauty that surrounds us every day.
Health and wellness is rarely about one giant leap. More often, it is built through thousands of small, determined steps taken with hope, gratitude, and the belief that tomorrow can be a little better than today.
Today I pause to reflect, to be thankful for how far I have come, and to appreciate the simple beauty that continues to remind me that life is worth living—one step, one photograph, and one moment at a time. 💜🦋
