💛🌸💚 Revisiting Healing, One Image at a Time 💚🌸💛

Today, I find myself without my camera for a while — it needs repairs. While that might feel like a pause, it has quietly opened a different kind of opportunity.

It has given me the space to revisit and share images from a time I hadn’t yet shared — photographs taken just after my stroke, during a period when I was relearning so much of life all over again.

At that time, I had to learn how to walk and talk again. Reading, writing, memory, focus — even using my camera and editing software — all had to be rebuilt step by step. Many people today can’t tell I had a major stroke, but I can feel the ongoing improvements even now. Memories continue to resurface, clarity continues to grow, and each small gain still matters deeply.

💛 Yellow, reflected in this butterfly, represents hope, resilience, and forward motion. It reminds me that even when progress feels slow or invisible to others, it is still happening.

💗 Pink and purple, found in the flower, speak to healing, compassion, and patience. Recovery requires kindness toward yourself — allowing growth to happen in its own time.

💚 Green, surrounding the scene, symbolizes life, balance, and renewal. Nature became a grounding force for me, offering calm and stability when everything else felt uncertain.

Proper nutrition became — and remains — a vital part of my recovery and ongoing health and wellness. Real nourishment supports the brain, memory, strength, and healing, and continues to play a role in the improvements I still experience today.

Photography became more than a passion — it became therapy. Each image helped retrain focus, coordination, creativity, and confidence. What once felt like loss slowly transformed into a deeper connection with presence, gratitude, and purpose.

Being without my camera right now has allowed me to return to these moments — to share beauty that was captured during healing, and to invite others into that journey.

These images are reminders that recovery continues. That beauty exists even in rebuilding.
And that sometimes, looking back allows us to fully see how far we’ve come.

One memory. One image.
One shared moment at a time.
