Progress Update: Moving Our Plants to the Next Stage

We’ve made some exciting progress by relocating several of our plants to a new stage with a higher lid. This setup allows the seedlings to grow a bit more before we transfer them to larger containers.

In this stage, you’ll find Plantain, Carrots, Hickory, Lettuce, and Curly Dock. While most of these plants are thriving, the Hickory isn’t faring as well. This is our first attempt at growing carrots using this method, and we’re hopeful despite the limited information available on hydroponic carrot cultivation. Some growers have successfully navigated this challenge, and we’re beginning to learn about the unique issues involved in growing root-based plants in a hydroponic system.

I’m also considering adjusting the positioning of the grow lights, as the plants in the background appear to be growing more slowly. Currently, the light is focused toward the front, and the lettuce closest to the light has developed a healthy red tinge and is doing particularly well.

For these plants, I’m using a full-strength nutrient solution. We’ll keep you updated on their progress in the coming days and weeks!

At LIFE (Love Is For Everyone), we’re committed to sharing our journey and learning along the way. Stay tuned for more updates!
