Arugula: From Seed to Harvest – A Quick Start!
This morning, we planted Arugula seeds collected from a previous harvest more than a year and a half ago. These seeds, though older, were stored carefully—and as we discovered, still full of life.
To help maintain the right moisture level for germination, we lightly misted the container throughout the day. By evening, we were thrilled to see the first signs of sprouting. It's a powerful reminder of how quickly some plants can respond when conditions are just right. While some seeds can take days or even weeks to germinate, others—like Arugula—can surprise you in less than 24 hours.
This is the first post in our As We Grow series following Arugula from seed to harvest—and back again, as we collect the next generation of seeds. Stay tuned for updates as the journey continues.
Until then, have a beautiful day—As We Grow!
